ACC Asia Cup Men’s T20 2025 team’s announcement

17th edition of Asia Cup will be played as Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament, serving as a crucial preparatory event for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
While India is the official host of the tournament, due to an agreement with the Pakistan Cricket Board, the matches will be played at neutral venues. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the designated host, with matches taking place across two cities:
The Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches, including the final and The Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium will host 8 matches.
The tournament will feature a total of eight teams, divided into two groups:
Group A: India, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Oman.
Group B: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.
The format includes a group stage, followed by a Super Four stage and a final.Each team will play a single round-robin within their group.
Super Four Stage: The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, where they will compete in a round-robin format.
Final: The top two teams from the Super Four stage will play in the final to determine the champion.
